First of all, let me share with you a few stuff about what people are saying about this topic.

Many users say, you don’t need a registry cleaner for Vista because you have got the world’s most powerful operating system.

Equally, there ware others who say, doesn’t a house need a broom?

Registry, is in fact the home of all operating systems of Microsoft. It’s where loads of informations are stored for programs to work and even the operating system to boot.

Microsoft’s weak design of this registry is also the reason for the growth of enormous computer viruses that use registry and take control.

Microsoft recommends that You do not use registry cleaner for computers running with VISTA.  So keep that advice alive. If it does require, Microsoft would probably add a tool or a feature under the “Performance and Maintenance” section so we can use it or Microsoft could just let this cleaning business be handed over to other companies so they too can make money. Have them pay a operating system, now have them pay for a cleaner if they want.

For all other Operating Systems made by Microsoft, It does recommend cleaning of the registry. Here is an article of 2006. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835818/en-gb

That resource is only good for reading; it’s old and only applies other operating systems, not VISTA.

I personally don’t advice anyone to run any registry cleaner on VISTA unless you know exactly what kind of cleaner you have and what kind of VISTA you are running.

For those who can’t wait to clean their home, here are some links, but please remember to study compatibility issues carefully and decide if you need one. Even if you find one that says it’s compatible with VISTA, can you sue that company if it didn’t work on yours or made your computer even slower ???? Just a thought.

Well, As for me, I am not cleaning my Home, till there is much discussions on this topic else where.

VISTA keeps updating everyday and seems like there might be a day sooner when a tool will arrive in my computer and it starts running immediately….

or better it could just show up a message in their so called fancy yet buggy Internet browser with the following messages :

“Oh my Lord. You have used your computer so many times. You have installed bunches of software too. Oh My Lord. You removed so many software as well. Your Home is completely a trash can. Are you ready to clean ? Click here to continue….”
