Magnifying Objects in Vista

If you are having problems reading smaller fonts or objects such as icons, you can buy magnifying software or mouse with software that allows you to magnify particular section of the screen. While these are simple yet useful ways to solve the problem, but if you have really bad vision and you do have the budget, so for this tip:
- Buy the biggest monitor you can afford. These days price of LCD monitors are dropping and are affordable.
- Once you have a good size monitor, you can reduce the video resolution, there by making everything big. To reduce screen resolution follow these steps:
- Right click on any empty space on your desktop, click properties, set the desktop resolution around 840×680 or 1024×768. That should enhance all icons and objects even the video you watch on sites such as youtube.com will look big so you can comfortably enjoy them.
- You can also further customize the icon size; Press CTRL and Scroll Down or Up of your middle button (usually a roller) on your mouse (if it’s included).
- In internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, you can increase the size of the font. Click View on the file Menu, Text Size and then select Largest.
Some programs may have been designed for a specific resolution such as 800×640 pixels and if you set your resolution to 640×480 (which would obviously increase everything you see on your desktop), you may not be able to use the program or even find buttons such as OK or CANCEL. In such case, close all windows and reset your desktop resolution to higher such as 1024×768.
For magnifying utilities, see the following links. The most annoying problems users face with some of these utilities is that they remain on screen and users need to move them around; meaning the utility blocks some section of the screen.
Useful Resource: These can be usually productive even on a small screen:

Well, That’s all. Now share your experience by commenting to this Article. What else do you do to make screen look big ? Fonts bigger? What kind of utilities are you using? Is the free one better than the priced one? Was having a bigger screen better than small worth it? Discuss and share your knowledge.
