Removing Search Toolbar From Taskbar

These days, Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines are shaking hands with PC manufacturers to put their search tools right inside your computer.

So when you get a new computer, you are likely to see a search bar in your Task Bar. It makes it easier for you to search but what if they installed something you didn’t like or what if the search takes place in a browser that you didn’t’ like ? For example, a friend of mine recently bought a TOSHIBA notebook which had Google Search  Bar at the taskbar, that wouldn’t recognize the default browser which was firefox. Everytime he searched, it went to Internet Explorer not to fire-fox.

He loves google, but removed the google search bar because it simply couldn’t take the search to the browser he loves; The FireFox.  The other month, a friend of mine bought a HP Pavilion PC that had Yahoo Search bar on the taskbar. And he personally doesn’t like Yahoo at all. So he spend hours trying to remove it and finally he removed it.

Removing these search bars aren’t easy in many some cases. Why? These companies don’t want you to use them. Many of them are made as widget and some as programs. So look under your widgets and if you find one, just remove. Depending on the theme you have selected, Just get to the place where you have the option to remove programs.

In windows classic theme, look under Control Panel - Programs and Files - Add Remove Programs.

Remove what you want there; any toolbars that is.

For removing Yahoo’s search Bar:
Right click on your task bar -> Toobars -> Uncheck the Yahoo one.

Well, that’s it. And SAY NO TO “PUSH” : When all you want is a PC, why do they load bunches of sh*ts for you ? Marketing ? Are they really making our life easier or miserable ? I spend about about an hour removing all the trial softwares, shouldn’t that time be paid to me by the computer company ?

If anyone has problem removing search bars of Yahoo, Google,MSN,etc from the Taskbar, just comment and I will try to help you.

See you soon with next post from this new and growing site.
